Well, looks like someone is going to have to re-invent the wheel, well soft-mods to be accurate. it looks like sony have yet again altered the case design to rule out the proper use of Magic Keys II tool 3. The lid will not close.... My unit still has it's warrante so i cant go inside for a while.

I've tried sanding tool 3 down, reducing it's thickness but to no affect.

i'd dearly love to close the lid, so if anyone has any docs/pics that show the insides of the ps2-slim, I may be able to bodge something together.

!!!PLEASE HELP!!!!

HAHAHAHA

Less than an hour after giving up on Magic Keys II for the 77003 I made it work.

I twisted it and deformed the shape of the tool 3 slightly so that it was pressing the switch from the side a little.

I twisted the foot so it pointed slightly away from the largest surface then pushed the foot and thew arm under the large surface so as to maintain the foots relative position to the switch in the console.

It was mainly luck but my near obsessive sanding and general pratting around seems to have done the trick!!

Probably my first instance of of fixing something that wasnt broken and actually making it better!
