hi everyone! i have a question about the xbox 360 backup. i have a sony dvd+-r dual layer dvd burner model number drx810ul and i also have an extra external hard drive for ym coputer. i am just wondering what i need to do to start backing up my 360 games. i know ppl talk about hitachi and samsung but am not sure if this is a burner or an actual hard drive. i have tried readign the 360 backup guide but am a little confused.

Hitachi and Samsung are the 2 different model dvd drives which the 360 uses.

your external hard drive cant help you, i dont think you fully understand so let me shell it out a bit:
1) you flash your xbox 360's disc drive with the software required for your type of drive ( common drives are samsung and hitachi type)

seek help in flashing if you havent already done so.
if you are unsure about wtf i just said, this isnt your scene.
if at all you have not done this step then the rest wont be worthwhile as you cant play it.

1)you get a game ( from download or a direct rip of a disc )
2)you make it into an iso image file ( use qwix or something)
3)it is then ready to burn to a dual layer dvd disc using a dual layer dvd disc drive ( not the standard pc dvd disc drive )
4) you put the disc into your xbox 360 and play.
