Just a quick pointer
If you have commando 5 (or any of the new images) there is no need to transfer a services file to the dbox2. All you have to do is set your location and fast scan, services files were used because it used to take 30 minutes to do a scan, with the new images you can scan in 2 minutes.
on commando 5, press blue, setmylocation, choose your town or nearest and cable provider, restart the box, the scan will now be set up for fast scan.

This is a great point....
Is it possible to integrate this option in Sportster??
I did this with the blue button (Commando5) and have many channels in the list. Do I have to do a servicescan after this? Sorry for my bad english and this question.
But I come from germany and can´t test it. Sometimes I sell boxes to UK and many people ask me to buy a plug and play box.

The new sportster pro images have this built in, the old sportsters havent. Commando, tx-uk,pacino, the don, and federation images also have this.
Once you set your location (blue, set my location, choose your town, reboot)
then you you need to do a service scan yes
you need to set it up something like this
scan for services...........tv & radio
bouquet.......................leave current
cable provider............... 6992 telewest - 6887 ntl
fast scan.....................on
---------------------------------------
network id....................set by set my location
frequency....................set by set my location
symbol rate..................set by set my location
---------------------------------------
sections scan................off
---------------------------------------
hit red to save settings now
hit blue to start scan the scan

Working great til today then just a black screen on the channels with a key highlighted in the corner so i flashed commando 5 image and still the same problem - can view FTA channels but ones with a key in the corner(Sky Sports etc) just a black screen. Any ideas? Cheers.

Hey, thanks for your post :)
I tried with the image you linked to, and did a full scan after setting my location but only found 50 ish channels, compared with around 200 that Sportster 1.7UK found.
Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
Cheers in advance.
