Hi guys I am a newbie on the dbox scene but have been reading up so hopefully my questions won?t seem too pathetic. Ok i got a nokia dbox2 with a sportster image coming my way from eBay and I am currently on NTL. I am really interested in getting my setup using a pc as a pvr and the dbox as a media player I have already got the xbox sorted and have read the dbox and xbox can interact. so here are my questions.
Q1 I understand that the dbox uses images for the os and I can figure out where to go etc but can I have some recommendation on the best image as i have read about commando image that apparently update services.xml etc so no need for me to source it etc. Opinions very welcome
Q2 Once i got the dbox sorted on the tv front i imagine using the pc as a file server ie file share with vnc think i understand that but is there a better way to do this
Q3 the PVR side what are people recommendation software wise i heard of jack the grabber etc just want to know what the best.
Thanks guys sorry if my questions are a bit green I am 2 days into reading and I know whatever I might think is the best way now you guys have already done that and can give me some great advice
