I use mine mainly for a daily show and the occasional "special." I have no complaints thus far. I have owned it around 6 months. I use Verbatim DVD+RW. I don't record enough to need a DVR with a hard drive. For the price and features, I feel this was a good buy. It DOES NOT have Commercial Advance or Foul Language Filtering. If you don't need HDMI, go with a cheaper LiteOn unit.
