I have the original game disc of God Of War, I followed every step in the tutorial to make my backup (http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/2/174767) but when I connect my HDD to my PC and put the disc in and copy the game to the HDD using HDL_DUMP it doesnt work. I am using HDLoader with my HDD for my PS2. After I connect my HDD back to my PS2 and run HDLoader to start the game it freezes at the beginning screen "Sony Computer Entertainment Presents..." I have gotten 6 coasters now, whats the problem?
well after i burned the dvd(s) i copied it to the hdd, from there it doesnt work when i boot up with hdloader, so i have a feeling further modification is needed to make it work. I have no idea what to do...i tried searching google but nothing is really clear. I need straight up solutions simple as 1 2 3 nothing that will leave me hanging.
Connect your Hard Drive to your PC transfer the game directly from the original DVD or from iso made with DVD Decrypter .. Reconnect to your PS2 and you'll be good to go...
Ok so I used Winhiip and it didn't do the job, I tried copying the backup using that program and it didn't work, I tried copying the actual game disc (God of War) and that didn't work either, am I missing an option to check when copy?
"just flatten the game and get a hdloader.elf file. open the hex editor and offset 0xAAC4C from 0100 to 2502 then save. install to your HDD and play ;-) This will fix both God of War & Rumble Fish so you can play the games on hdloader".
What does this mean, and if this is a fix how do I apply it?
