whats up, the drive is a sh-d162c, and you can them on ebay fairly cheap, 49.00 plus shipping and even comes with the kreon 0.81 firmware and he will even pre-flash if requested.

thanx man but i have bad experinces with ebay ahhaha :( but anyways can i ask u guys whats so special with this drive cant u just flash any dvd drive with this f/w?

this drive with the kreon fw will pull the ss codes off the game when backing up. and this drive is the only drive that can do this. there is actually another drive that can do it with some additional fw flashed to it, but its even more rare than the samsung drive and is a lot more expensive if you can find it. ebay is the best place to get it from. and you cant go wrong if you pay with paypal.

If you're in North America, Ebay is the best place to get the sh-d162c. For any of you guys that are elsewhere it shouldn't be hard to find one.

Also, you can now use a sh-163a drive as kreon has released a firmware for that. Might be easier to find.

vesalia computers has them for 40 smacks and ships worldwide, i think you might have to flash it but that is simple process
