Im looking to mod my 360 so I can play backups...I heard that XSATA will make the process alot easier
As far as I can tell, XSATA only enables you to connect your HD to your PC without taking it apart, correct?
Well as far as I can tell (again), you dont need to open your HD to Flash your 360...so my question is; how exactly does XSATA help make the process of modding your 360 easier?
I may have been misinformed somewhere, hence the reason Im making this post...correct me whereever I am wrong please :)

also, I need a SATA cable even if I dont plan on using XSATA...anyone know if XSATA comes with one that will work for this process? and someone tell me a place, on OR off the internet, where I may be able to get one.

it comes with a USB cable so u can hook it up to your PC.
But i dont know how to take XSATA out of the harddrive bed on top of the 360. do u?

Woah guys.. You don't mod the 360 from the HDD. The XSATA only connects to the HDD and not to the DVD Drive. It will not work for flashing firmware. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the XSATA only allows you to move files to your PC HDD and from your PC HDD to your 360 HDD.
