i have been reading through the forums and want to be sure I am getting ewverything I need if i decide to get a 360 and make backups for my games. Is it true you just need to get a drive with updated/flashed firmware from ebay and do not need a mod chip?? Also, after you get the drive flashed, you just need to rip with the program Schtrom and burn with cloneCD?? I think I'm reading this right, but want to be sure I'm not missing anything big. Thanks for any help with this.

You're about right.

- flash 360 drive with modified firmware
- samsung sh-d162c or sh-d163a pc drive (ebay) with modified firmware (but this drive is not a necessity)
- Schtrom v3 or Xbox Backup Creator v2.3 are all-in-one ripping/injecting programs. Or you can do it step by step.

Thanks, so I can either flash my current drive or get one that is predone?? I think I'll just order one that's already done from ebay, unless my friend knows how to flash the drive for me. Thanks again.
