How do i fit many tv shows onto a dvd?

I want to make a dvd of fawlty towers, but i dont know how to fit more than one episode onto dvd.
PLZ help, im using avi2dvd and know how to get 1 movie onto disk but not more than 1.

I know nothing of Faulty Towers or Avi2DVD but you should be able to add 4 - 1 hour episodes to 1 DVD, depending on the quality of your episodes. VSO ConvertXtoDVD will do this in 1 step for you including menues. Or, an encoder together with an authoring program and also a burning program. If you wish to use Avi2DVD, someone else will have to advise on that.

Yes, I'd like information on this topic too. I have WinAvi along with Nero OEM Suite. I've transfered 7 episodes of Prison Break (which I downloaded via BitComet) using WinAvi, but cannot figure out how to add more than one to the list in Nero Express. Some of the Video_TS files for each episode are the same and I get an error message.

I'm not that knowledgeable on WinAvi but I believe that even the batch encode function will give all the contents of each Video_TS folder the same names (ifo#, bup#, vob#) so that they can't be added to a program like Nero, as you know. If your Nero suite has Nero Vision Express, perhaps that could be used for encoding your episodes with a menu, I don't know. And, even if they could be renamed and added to one folder (I don't know if this is even possible), you would have no menu and have to fast forward through each episode to see the next and so on. WinAvi can't create menues, VSO can, is fast (not as fast as WinAvi but I don't know what is), user friendly and has excellent quality. Just add your files, change a few defaults to suit you and go. Best 1 step program I've seen. The only other way I know of doing this is with an encoder, authoring and burning program(s) as I mentioned above.

Fawlty Towers is one of the all time classics, and I`ve got the same question.
I have a few ideas though I`m gonna try out.
When I get some success, I`ll get back

if your files are AVI, you can use convertxtodvd from vso software.
You`ll see at the bottom (bit like Nero) how many Gbs you have. Just keep adding till you get to around 4gb.
just open, for example 6 files, that`s 3 hrs worth, make/adjust your running order and "convert" to dvd. (Takes about a hr)
Oh yes, don`t forget in the settings to look at aspect ratio.
I set mine to 4:3 full screen.
Don`t know how it works with other file formats though.
I guess you`ll just have to try them out.
If your files are already Dvd format, use Nero to compile them. depending on the individual size you should be able to get several on a dvd. Try using a Dvd RW first to see how you get on.

That's not really relevant as ConvertX will fit whatever you have to the disc.

You have to match whatever the source is, if you force 4:3 on a 16:9 source your AR will be off. You do want to force NTSC if that is where you live.

Then you would set ConvertX to PAL, as opposed to Auto. It seems most PAL systems/Countries can play NTSC. Burn a test by setting it to NTSC and see if your system handles it.

Ok but I`m thinking of ordering a complete box set of Monty Pythons BBC Tv series, whas a brit is a must, and you can only get them from america and they use NTSC.
I don`t want to have to convert them.
See what I mean?
Whether they would play on my PAL System ?

I`ve just checked my DVD player and he does have PAL / NTSC setting, so I suppose it would work.
But for that kind of money I`d like to be sure.

Make a test DVD with ConvertX, set the output to NTSC.
