nokia 6010 recently unlocked from cingular
no signal after phone restriction off appeared on the screen, location of user is in the Philippines
anybody knows why??

The 6010 will not work in the Philippines because the Frequencies do not match.

i think the Philippines uses 900/1800 mhz and the nokia has a frequency of 800 mHz/1800 mHz. I think the 1800 mHz part match. hehe. does it have to be a 900/1800 mhz in the phone as well??

im sorry, i mean the nokia 6010 has 800/1800. does it have to be 900/1800 mHz in a cellphone unit especially in places like the philippines??

The 6010 works on 850 / 1900mhz the Philippines 900 /1800mhz

Adding from the post above if the mobile was bought in Europe it would work but American networks run on a different frequency.
