Ok i have an error 21 xbox. I just need to make sure this is accurate. I went and bought a 160gb hard drive today, so the only other thing i need is a modchip right? What is the preferred modchip and will that have me gaming soon?

if u soft modded u can install a modchip 2 fix the problem or u can hotswap..

i would go wit xecuter mod chip, the 2.6 or 3 will work, what i used to fix a few boxd and upgraded the hds in em...

ok so let me just get this right.

modchip. 160gb hardrive. good to go right? is it soldierless?

also, will the modchip come with the software I need or will I need to get that off the internet. and what is the best company to get this through?

i have looked into the hotswap. i think i am going to try that. but i do not know the ip address to my xbox? how can i obtain that

go into ur settings an set ur ip if its not set already, u would be good with the xecuter mod chip and they have solderless aapters to make it easier faster to put in

To hotswap you don't need the IP address as you are directly connected to the computer via cable! This guide worked perfectly for me...

yeah i tried that.. my computer freezes everytime the xbox hdd is in. i bought a new 160 gig internal hdd. i would like to use this on my xbox. i have all the files that i need to make it factory settings but i am just wondering can i do that with this new hdd?
