Alright, i looked at the sticky for the mp3s so is that razorlame for the razr v3 and what does it do exactly
if its not for the razr v3:
I recently bought a motorola razr v3 from a friend of mine without the software, i only got the charger and the phone itself. i want to set an mp3 as a ringtone on it, how do i do this without the software, where can i download this from?I want to transfer this mp3 to my phone via usb. Also im wondering, is there no way to set recorded audio as ringtones?
Help will be appreciated, Thanks:)

Pull the back cover off, remove the battery and the labels inside the case on the back of the phone will tell you what model it is,
To add ringtones. Google Motorola Phone Tools, do a bit of searching, and you'll be able to find it listed somewhere in the downloads section. This software will let you edit any MP3 into a ringtone. You'll have way too much fun associating pictures and ringtones with annoying people on your call list.

Cut the bitrate to 32KBps, shorten the song to 20 seconds or so, then E-mail the file to your phone number. Quick and dirty way, or, find Motorola Phone Tools and let it do it to you for free.
Or PM me your cell number, your provider, which song you want and I'll convert it for you.
