when i convert an AVI to dvd format using winavi,i then go and try to open it up with dvdshrink and shrink wont open it.ive used DivXtoDVD in the past and when that was done converting my avi's to dvd, shrink would open up the files no problem, but winavi wont for some reason.reason why i changed from DivXtoDVD to winavi cause winavi is simply faster with the same results.i have a bunch of converted avis that i wanna compile all on one dvd mostly music videos and i wanna do exactly what i did in the past to do this i converted with DivXtoDVD then i reauthered and opened up everything i wanted on one dvd, shrunk them all together in one folder.but like i said dvdshrink wont even rocognize my converted files from winavi.

can someone tell me why?

dvdfreak1,
Why Use Shrink when WinAvi will automatically burn to DVD? Shrink probably does not see it as the VIDEO_VTS.IFO could be corrupted. Once converted w/ WinAvi do you see .vob.ifo and bup files?

yes i see bup and VOB files. the files are in AVI format.i tried doin burnin right from winavi via the Nero option which i currently do own and use to burn all my dvds.i have an AVI split in 2 parts cd1 and cd2.now i tried the batch conversion option on winavi twice and for some reason the final product ends up bein the first half of the movie on the dvd twice, with no second half on the disc at all.

Use Nero Vision to merge/trancode/burn both parts in the AVI format.
Just add both avi's - highlight them and use the merge button - middle one on the left hand side.
Nero may not be faster but it is pretty simple to add both cd's and nerge the whole movie together.
Give that a go and let us know.

If you means you have two AVI files and you want to merge them into one then convert and burn to disc,I think wianvi can help you for that. You can select the files together then it can merge them into one DVD folder, then burn to disc.Wish useful.
