Olympus D-580 Z Copy Pics from PC to Camera

I bought this camera with an Olympus printer. I can print pics from the camera no problem. However, If I snap a picture, copy it to the PC to rotate the picture (90°,180°)or edit it in some way, when I copy the image back, the camera does not recognize the file. The naming conventions are the same. Has anyone else run into this problem? Thank you
