My ps2 clinks and is a 50001 jst to get tht on the table, but ok, i recently got resident evil 4,used. I made a backup, and it wouldnt burn the first time, but i tried it again and it worked. i was thinking maybe it was my problem in the pre burn process. So i played it and it was fine, but when i saved, it couldnt load. I went i into my mem card through the browser, and it had corrupted data, so i deleted it. Couple days later, my friend invites me over and to bring my ps2. i brought my backup games so i wouldnt damage the original. And we played resident evil and tried to beat it in one go through. As we were playing, he said save but i said no cuz it wouldnt and it caused corruption. But he said tht if i played the original, it would load on tht. So i did. We turned it off, and i checked the mem card. it had corrupted data, but it froze when it was loading the memory on it. I was mad because it would freeze on tht mem card screen. I erased the corrupted data on his PS2. So i wanted to see if it worked on mine again, and it did. So we went to play another game, which was SCIII. It loaded, but when it went to the character select screen, it took longer than usual to load the character. After a looong time, we went to the VS. screen. That time it took FORRREEEVVVEEERRR and it didnt get to the fight. It was jst stuck on that VS screen. I was guessing it was a read error cause it wasnt loading. So i opened my PS2,which ive done before, and tried to fix it and clean things. It would still clink, so we decided to go under the motor and the laser arm. Well, we put everything back together, but when it was on, no disc could be read. Not cds, not dvds, not ps1, not ps2, not back ups. Nothing. So we opened it back up, and we saw a ribbon under the motor and gold worm screw tht was disconnected. We dont know where to put it back. We tried to put it under a "U" right under the motor, but when tht was there, nothing happened. The ps2 would just have the disc in the tray and it didnt read it.
IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO?
MAIN PROB. MOTOR RIBBON DISCONNECTED AND I NEED TO KNOW WHERE TO PUT IT. (Because nothing is being read)
Im scared i cant get my PS2 back. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Agian, my PS2 is a SCPH-50001. If anyone could tell me where to put the ribbon connected to the motor, if be very happy. Thanks again.
