Breaking up an .AVI file to vob?

Is it possible to break up an AVI file to .VOB for better
quality? I´m using a mac so please tip me about
programs that can do this that are usable with a mac.:)

Im not sure what the hell you mean. If you mean can you split an AVI file, turn it into VOB's and then burn it as a DVD, then the answer is yes.

Sinply use DivX splitter to split, TMPGEnc to convert to mpeg2 and TMPGEnc DVD Author to convert the mpeg2 into a VOB (DVD Compliant) structure.

You can then compress or burn with a program of your choice.
