Your getting a 360 becuz of oblivion, just like me!
Now i regret it,i'd rather have a ps3.
But anwyays onto your question:Most of the 360's problems ahve been worked out,if you buy a new 360 now, there should be very little chance of it breaking down, but if your unsure, always and i repeat ALWAYS take the extended store warranty.this way if your 360 does break down,u just go to the store and be like, hello,my 350 broke, give me new one NOW BIATCH!LOL well u get the idea, otherwaize you ahev to ring ms and tell them a 1 hour long story, then they will send you a bag,and you ahve to send your 360 to ms and then you get it back like 2 weeks later, and it's a reburbished model, not your own 360,blah blah,it's one big mess.So teh moral of the story is,there shoudlnt be any probelsm if you buy a new 360,but just get the extended STORE warranty(not ms warranty) to be safe...

Was with the launch model, but it's pretty well ironed out now. But you almost gotta expect that from any system at launch.

Thier may be a price drop in January but probabl only 10-20 dollars. The xbox 360 used to over heat but not anymore I think they fixed it and if it does then you can get it fixed for free now.....

Yeah since after chirstmas evey one who wants one has one. But there are also people who asked for money (lot's of it) and they probably might buy one from the december 26 (boxing day) to January. But yeah the sales will slow down.

Heh, if you buy it on amazon, you get $30 off and free shipping. Dont remember if theres tax or not. Its tempting, but i wanna get it off of ebgames or gamestop, incaser if anything ever happens i dont have to mail it back.

Limited Lifetime Warrenty means that as long as you keep all the original crap that comes with the 360 and never mod it, you have a warrenty. Good luck if you lose the reciept though.

Well lifetime warrenties also mean until the end of that products life cycle. Which coinsidering they're supposed to be doing a re-design sometime in the near future, wouldn't that be when the warrenty ran out? I'd ask someone there before I bought one. I'd never offer a lifetime warrenty on a 360 if I were them. If they do, pick it up!

No costco says "lifetime" but it is not your life time it is the average lifetime of the product I even phoned and asked them myself....

Seems like the average lifespan of a 360 is a little less than a year... Alot of people have been through a few of em by now. Hopefully yours will be different.

One year? Thats kind of cuting it short isint it? Also costco wouldent say one year even though some may break in on year it is expected to last a lot longer.
