My PS2 NHL 2K7 (NTSC) Backup will not work online, i have patched it with WinDIP 1.7 twice using two different NTSC DNAS IDs and burned twice with DVD Decrypter. I get a DNAS Error.
I am using a Slim V14 PS2, Swap Magic 3.6 and a DI-524 D-Link Wireless router.
any solutions?
DNAS Error (-864). An authentication error has occcured.
Invalid media, Invalid DNAS Disc ID, Media Error e.g. using CD-R and DVD-R discs against the production server, or using manufactured discs against the development server.
Means 1 of 3 things;
1. Wrong Disc ID, or using a bad combination of X's for 1st 2 sets of the ID resulting in a bad ID.
2. Bad media.
3. Should be on DVD, but you've burnt to CD.
From the sounds of your 1st post, it is most likely either number 1 or 2.
I am using the NTSC DNAS IDs found on the "UPDATED NTSC DNAS LIST".
There are two DNAS IDs, one is from "stoleyour".
I replaced the XX XX with numbers from 1-9 and letters from A-F and patched the image (.iso) with WinDIP 1.7 as instructed to do so.
I have tried both DNAS IDs and neither have worked.
I would argue with Bad Media because i have over 20 online games using the same media and have had no trouble playing the games online or offline using the same methods.
any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Keep your combination below 2x xx to be on the safe side.
But I wouldn't rule out the media aspect yet. Just cos they used to work doesn't mean they still will with every game - some are picky. Also, the manufacturer could of changed the dye it uses.
WORKING!
The problem was that the two NTSC DNAS IDs found on the "Updated NTSC DNAS LIST" in Afterdawn do not work.
I visited http://www.backupscene.com, Registered to enter the PS2 Online Section for Disc IDs, found the OFFICIAL ID for NHL 2K7 and patched the image using WinDIP 1.7 with that DNAS ID. Burned using DVD Decrypter and it works beautifully.
I can't thank you guys enough for your help.
