PS2 V12 laser adjustment.

Hi!

My slimline V12 is taking very long in reading my DVD decryptor burned Memorex 8X DVD-Rs (Swap Magic 3.3 style!!). I know memorex is a terrible brand but these DVDs were free and besides my ps2 is gonna retire on Nov. 19 anyway.

I know it is a lens issue and I just want to complete ff12 and Bully :)

How do i adjust the laser in the slimline? I know about the laser adjustment screws but where are they located and in which direction I am supposed to turn them?

I don't think it will help at all, you'll have to get better media and burn it at a slower speed (2x seems to bring the best results). Anyways DVD-R's aren't too expensive.

u might be better off burning DVD+R bitset to dvd-rom. to adjust the laser, u need to remove it from the mount and turn it upside down.

u will need a multimeter to check the resistance. the less resistance, the greater the power of the laser.
