Hi , strange request but our ps2 slimline reads backup dvds better than it reads original cds , so was thinking of putting crazy taxi on to a dvd for use with swap magic as are all our other gmes and although other cd games I managedwith thre tutorials and patched to dvd etc , I cannot get Crazy Taxi to work from dvd.
Anyone that has done this can you remember how or is it just not possible with Crazy Taxi ??
lol not being nasty or anything coz i just thought out a theory called the burn sensitive that could be a load of crap. But its a known fact that PS2 plays DVD better then CD's - especcially if its been chipped, so yeh i often put all my PS1 games onto DVD's as it doesnt work on CD's using CDloader. so yeh try puttin any CD based games onto DVD's.
Well what a waste of time that is then! PS1 games can ONLY work from CD-R. The PS1 only has a CD reader, and when the PS2 enters PS1 mode, ONLY the CD reader is operating, since PS1 games have ALWAYS & WILL ALWAYS be CD based.
There is NO WAY to successfully put a PS1 game onto DVD!
They MUST also be booted with a modchip or a PsOne bootdisc/cheat disc on the PS2. Swap Magic or any PS2 boot disc won't work.
As for the original poster's problem; Crazy Taxi can't be put onto DVD. It contains LBA checks, and trying to keep the same LBA will result in any prog like CDVDGenerator telling you the game is too small to burn as a DVD. Adding a dummy file to make it bigger in order to burn as a DVD will affect the LBA value, and therefore make it unbootable.
