The Hitachi is easy. Just get a SIL3112 chipset on a PCI SATA card and Slax CD will put it in modeB. Then flash.

I've done both drive multiple times. I'm not traveling, but in GA too, Atlanta area more specifically. You can PM if you want to send it or something. There's my ebay feedback http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...:feedback:2:us, but that's for selling legit game stuff.

It's modifying the DVD drives firmware thus allow you to played properly copied games on an Xbox 360. Do a search. There are tons of threads on the subject.

You can find the PCI SATA card at best buy. Or newegg. Just make sure it has a SIL3112 chipset( for hitachi's anyway)

Look on the packaging. It should tell you. Or you can look on the actual chip on the card. It'll say SIL3112
