my computer has been infected with this virus...i have looked over some of the other thread, but there are some different things that you can do and not to sure what one i should do. I went to smitfraudfix and did a search, here are the results if anyone can help i really need it!

First, extract the files from SmitFraudFix.zip to the desktop. The new folder(SmifraudFix) will be created.
Note: Print or copy these instructions to Notepad and save them. You will be in safe mode and can't access the internet.
* Reboot your computer in Safe Mode (before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually)
* Open the SmitFruadFix folder.
* Double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
* Select 2 and hit Enter to delete infect files.
* You will be prompted: Do you want to clean the registry ? answer Y (yes) and hit Enter in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.
* The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found): Replace infected file ? answer Y (yes) and hit Enter to restore a clean file.
* A reboot may be needed to finish the cleaning process. The report can be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt.
Restart in normal mode.
Download HijackThis.
Create a new folder for it and extract the file there.
Do a system scan and save a log file.
Post back with the contents of rapport.txt and the HijackThis log.

Go here and download Java Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 9.
Uninstall all previous versions of JRE via Add/Remove Programs.
Restart and install Update 9.
