Well tis psp aint bricked for sure, but psp fails to detect the memory card. u can play the umd everything else is fine.
1)whats happened to this psp?
2)what all can be done to get psp back inorder?
3)if i have to buy or get some part repaired tell me abot that website or place if possible (in Bombay or Bangalore) where i can get it repaired?
Please.......

its either you have a crappy memstick or the memstick reader has gone out which really doesnt havent often.

yeah its most probably a fake memory stick like hexit said.
try using another original mem stick(the one which u got with your psp), see if it can read that.

Try formatting it.
Edit: If your from bombay, i think you might of got a fake one. On my holidays i saw over a hundred fake memory sticks...Sorry man.

yep i have tried other mem sticks which were definetily orignal. does apparently appear that my memcard reader is spoilt. if u also think that this is the porblem then please tell me where will i get a memcard reader with a connector.

guys i hav a original san disk 2 GB memory card and
a psp v 2.0.One day when i eas playind a video frm
my memory card it got stuck in between and showed
the message - THE VIDEO CANNOT BE PLAYED . So i pressed
circle to go bac and it was showing free space - 0KB.
I freaked out since i had more than 700MB. So i restarted
my PSP.After restarting when i scrolled over to music
or movie ot any other section , it did not show the
remaining space below like it was supposed to inspite
of my card being in the PSP it acted as if there was
no memory card.When i went to format my memory card
it showed tht no memory card is inserted inspite my
memory card being in the PSP and when i saw the light
which blinks when the memory card is read - i saw it
kept blinking and blinking and blinking and still the
psp system showed no memory card inserted.I tried the
memory card in a card reader and it worked fine bu my psp
does not read it .It keeps blinking.PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME ! PLEASE !!!
I tried another memory card - SONY - 32MB and the same thing happened.
It kept blinking . I also formatted the memory card using the card
reader but still nothing .Its the same.The PSP does not read and the
light keeps blinking.PLEASE HELP ME !!!

try looking on ebay. You might find some parts...that is if you can replace the memory card thingy...

I came across this usb ms memorycard reader i dont know if it can connect it directly to a psp, make it read a card n play.

omg same thing i took out the meory card put it back in and it keeps flashing? wtf? there has to be explanation! ive been using this card all the time 32meg took it out put it in ma computer then back in ma psp and memory card light keeps flashing?!?! why! i restarted adn everything!

NOO man i put psp to sleep mode and then took out the memory card it was perfectly fine and all of a sudden i put it in and it just started flashing!!

i dont no why this happned it is a sony memory stick pro duo omg why! will fix if i put it into my compuers card reader? but it doesnt come up with removale drive!!!!! what can i do!

um this hasn effected teh actual card reader of my psp thou has it? and also the light keeps flashing, surely i tmeans it nows theres a memory card in there if its flashing!
i put the card in da computer and it read it! i formated it on there but still when i put in ma psp it wont read! whats wrong with it?

I think this is a kind of a brick (thats what my friend told me) the only way to get if working again is to install a mod-chip.(thats if u dont have a TA-082 motherboard).
As far as i was told there are two kinds of bricks:
1)the complete brick where ur psp is completly K.O.ed.
2)the one where the memcard reader is screwed but everything else works, i mean the only thing that u can do now is play umds.

afgunzz u know this happened to me too rememver i was askin u guys at afterdawn wat to do ?.But ive fixed my problem.In the end i found out tht i didnt hav a broken MS reader in my psp.Wat I did was - first format ur memory stick using a PC card reader then insert it in ur PSP . If the light still keeps blinking then turn off ur PSP , leave the card inside and take out ur batter .Keep the battery out for 5-10 minutes.Then insert it bac in ur PSP and turn it on.If the light still keeps blinking then hold ur power button and completely turn off ur PSP and charge the battery.Make sure u hav charged the battery to 100% (it takes about 3hrs) and then disconnect ur charger and turn on the PSP .Now the memory card will probably be read by ur PSP - IT WORKED FOR ME!!!

dude my MS is T.K.O'ed i put it in ma mates psp and samehting happened (phew not my psp) but also the computer reads it with my card reader! any one no how i can bring it back to life? and also i dont wanna keep putin it in ma psp just incase it mashes my card reader!

My problem is a bit diferent, i bought my psp, used a sony duo 128 magic gate, everything worked fine, memory card could be read and formated by psp, could save games etc, but then after a couple of times of using it i couldnt format it anymore with my psp, and i couldnt save games either..it says memory card cant be accessed...
Im able to format it with pc card reader, and i can copy stuff in to it..but if i use it in my psp, the psp detects it, reads music and movies..but can`t save games or format it..
Tomorrow i will try with another card and see if its a card problem...but its very strange...card seems to be fine...

Err.. i kinda have the same problem..-.- tho i received no error but when i opened my psp to listen to musics it couldnt find the memory stick.. i read this forum and saw a possible solution.. it didnt quite work.. err.. the "take the bat for 5mins" .. hmm well it seems like the same prob.. i even do have the 32mb sony ms pro and a 512mb sandisk.. formatted the 32 one then followed the steps.. didnt work.. well i was hoping i can find other ways to fix it.. coz the constant blinking without loading is kinda ticking me off.. luckily i havent lost control and turned my psp into a brick and stick it to the wall.. -.- need help plox!!
