For what ever reason, my slimline (V14) PS2 is unable to boot my backup games. I am using Verbatim DVD-R 8x discs and using the USB flash drive/Action Replay Max exploit procedure with CD loader. As it stands I am using Gran Turismo 4 as a High TOC disc (as it is recognized as a valid PS2 DVD), so when I get to the screen where it instructs me to "insert disc by EA method", I press the triagle button to reset the laser, then when I put my backup game in tray, the disk will spin for a second, and then it will stop. I have done searches on this topic on the forum and have been unable to find anyone who has encountered this problem. Would the problem be with the game I am using for the high TOC disc, or could it possibly be something else? Thanks in advance.
By the way, I should mention that I personally did not back-up the games (Justice League Heroes & Final Fantasy XII), I assumed that they were ready for burning and simply copied them to a DVD from ISO format using DVD Decrypter. Again, thank you in advance.

Thats the problem right there - you need to have some way to swap discs without the PS2 knowing. By pressing triangle & resetting the laser & TOC, the PS2 knows there's been a disc change. Same as pressing EJECT on the old 'fat' PS2s.
You need to use a set of Magic Keys to block the sensors, or, a special fliptop case, or the tape/tissue mod to block sensors.
I apologize for not thoroughly explaining myself. I am in fact using the tissue and tape method to swap the discs. I have opened up the case, put some tape over the sensor in the rear of the unit, and put a piece of tissue on the sensor in the front over the reset button. When I load Action Replay Max into the unit the disc will load as normal with the top open, so I doubt that could be the problem. Other than the aforementioned, is there any other reason that would cause the unit not to load my backup?
Just dont press Triangle. The high TOC disc should of stopped spinning when it gets to the "insert disc by EA method" screen, so just swap it out for the backup you're wanting to load & press (and hold) X til the screen disappears.
