Sorry to the group members who have already seen this post some where else. But after a tip from a fellow user I know realise I posted it in the wrong area and won't do it again.

I have found a site on which has the type of data I wish to download. The data size is about 4.7Gb the only problem is that I am not on a broadband connection due to my house only just being built and BT are the only service provider on the whole estate. BT are telling me I am too far away from the exchange to have thier version of broadband. My current connetion is with Tesco.net 24/7 and has a 2 hour limit. When downloading my data after two hours I get booted and lose what little data has been downloaded does any member of the group have any ideas'. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, use one of those downloading programs i hate to enable a resume function. It can download up until the two hours, then when you disconnect and reconnect, use the resume download feature. Can't remember the name of the one i used to use, Aligator or something??? Anyway, your other option is to get rid of the BT connection and go with someone who doesn't punnish you for staying on line.

use GETRIGHT!

it does everything! it will even connect after 2 hours for you and carry on downloading where it left off! not loosing files!

then just go to bed and let it do its work!

i use it excellant!

also to download a file of 4.3 gig will take permanant downloading for 2 months! if on 56k modem!
