Hi!
I am new to the whole Xbox360 Thing, I just got my console this week and flashed the Samsung drive yesterday.
My problems are following:
About half of the backups I burn will not work or only partially work on my console. Fight Night Round 3 works flawlessly, but when I play in 2-Player mode the match seems to jump to the end (Winner screen) after a few minutes. GRAW, PGR3 and Burnout Revenge give me unreadability errors. Ridge Racer 6 goes into the menu, but when the loading screen comes for a race, it just stays in there and you don't hear the Xbox360 loading. Condemned locks up on the Sega Intro Screen.

Has anyone else endured these Problems? I have a LG 4167B with the DL13 Firmware and use Ricoh DVD+R DL discs.

Test Drive Unlimited, Oblivion, Dead or Alive 4, Amped 3 and Full Auto work flawlessly. Fight Night Round 3 works after re-burning the backup with the current Firmware (first flawed backup was burned with older FW).

Any help at all would be greatly apreciated, thanks!

When you end up with different errors like that it'll usually trace back to a bad burn and/or bad media.

It looks like your burner isn't too old and you're running the latest firmware.

Which firmware is installed on the samsung? That could be part of the problem, also.

I flashed the newest Xtreme 4.2B onto the Samsung drive.
I just headed out and bought myself the Pioneer 111D and a batch of Verbatim Discs. I hope that will work then.
Is there any special firmware I have to update the Pioneer with?

4.2b is what I was going to suggest if you wanted to use the cheaper media.

-4.2a default backup read speed is fast. (faster loading but more read errors with cheaper media/bad burns)
-4.2b default backup read speed is slow (slower loading but helps reading cheaper media)

Looks like you've pretty much got everything under control. The 111d and verbs are the way to go. Latest firmware for the 111d is 1.29.

Post your results once you've got everything. We'll like to know and it may help others.

I've been told to a associate that I am supposed to use ImgBurn to burn the Backups. Will cloneCD do the job just as well? I really don't wan't to risk burning bad media, the Verbs are really pricey...

By the way i Had the 1.23 installed, I just flashed to 1.29...

Use Clone CD and burn at 2.4x (or 4x like me)

The last four marked with (*) gave problems before, but that may be from a bad rip or burn. It will be tested againwith the new burner and recording media.
