DMS4 E.Z.I Lite Modchip Problem

Hi,
I am kinda new to this website but know the basics.
Anyways, i recently purchased a DMS4 E.Z.I Lite Edition Modchip for the ps2. All went well, installation and all. But when i tried to flash it, the ps2 wouldn't read the flash cd. It gave me the rsof (red screen of death). But seeing as i had swap magic, i thought i would give it a go, and use that to boot it. It worked and i flashed the ps2 perfectly. I can play all dvd 'backup' games. But when it comes to CDs, my ps2 still doesnt read them - gives rsod. It will read the original games on CDs but not my 'backed up' ones. Does anybody know what is wrong. There doesnt seem to be a problem with the installation because it reads 'backed up' DVDs but not CDs. Please help. Thanks in advance.

BTW:
I have a v5 30003R PS2 With a GH-015 M/B.
Installed with the latest Toxic Bios 1.4.
