I have a jap ps2 and i live in the US. I have swap magic and the flip top lid installed and all my connections work fine, but im trying to play ddr supernova online, and i get the 833 error. Are there any places that have machine ids or anyone here who doesnt play online, that might give me their US machine id? I have the paradox software and everything I just don't know any id. Is there any specific number or letter in the id that defines the region of the console?

If your trying to play online with a game you have burned then it will not work. Online only works for originals.

Try looking for the info in future. Its not the 1st time I've told someone that a list of Machine IDs & instructions on modifying your console (in Xcel spreadsheet form) come with the download of Machine ID Changer if you get it from the only reliable place for DNA$ bypassing; backupscene.

I doubt it's possible. Most people who have a console modified with a chip normally turn it off when they are playing a game online.

Then your doubts are wrong!
I play on US games, on US servers on my PAL PS2 - as do many other people.

So your able to play backups (burnt copies) of games online? Mind telling how to do this?

No. Use forums search, or read the Disc ID sticky lists - what did you think they were there for?. The info's there if you look for it.

So basically, when I have the iso file on my computer, I use WinDip to find the file, then I look in the dnas list to get the id, type it in and press patch? Do BackupScene also have dnas for NTSC games?

Dont quadruple post/bump, as its very much against forum rules, and there's really no need for it.
All the info you need has been posted here, backupscene, and other similar sites many times. Try doing a little research for yourself. You'll learn far more that way.
And the ID Changer won't work on a slimline PS2, so if that's the type of PS2 you have, then that's your problem.

i dont have a slimline and the only other thread that might help is 36 pages long. If someone could send a link this way or just tell me, it would save about an hour of my time.
