Hi Guys,

I found this forum when doing a bit of research into how I could get a HDD fitted to (or inside) a PS2. I have an extensive collection of games and it would be really cool to be able to put them all on the machine and take it away with me.

Now, I've never had anything chipped or modded before so don't really know where to start. I found a good article on these forums but it still looks like a lot of work, so i was wondering if anyone knows of any companies that will offer to fit one for you (I know you can get mod cips fitted for you) , or will i just have to follow the tutorial myself ?

I also noticed the "no advertising modding services" post above so if anyone can point me in the direction of an officially sanctioned advertiser then that would be cool.

This week I did the same thing with my PS2. I added the HDD and my games without any mod-chips or opening my system at all. To make it all work you need the following:

PS2 (I Have the old model, so my list is based off of it)
Broadband adaptor
HDD
ARMAX or Codebreaker (I recommend code break 9.+)
8MB memory card (to add the exploit)
Flash drive (I used a PNY model and it work fine with my PS2)

there are a number of guide on this site that will help you on what to do next. I spent about $135 dollar to get everything setup but I did buy a 300GB hardrive so that was were most of my money went.
