Ive used DVD Shrink many times before to copy my dvds but recently there have been some problems with a select few that had an error when using that program.. so then i used dvd decryptor to make two seperate 8 gb iso files on the computer of two dvds that i had ( now sold) but since they arent shrunk then i cant fit them on to a dvd .. and i also have one dvd that i still own that got an error from dvdshrink ... so if you could help me make a copy of this and the other two iso files thatd be great...

i thought of possibly splitting the iso file in half so it fits on two discs but i dont know how to do that or with what program and if its possible..

Hi Stringz
Shrink will compress the iso's to fit on a single layer disc. Just go to file>open disc image and pick the iso.

For the one Shrink is giving you an error on - what's the error?
How about the movie too? Shrink can't handle the newer copy protection by it's lonesome. If it's an older it should though.
Try cleaning off the disc. Have you tried decrypter for it?

no, actually the two iso files that need to be shrunk were tried on DVD Shrink and an error was given..thats why i mentioned those two plus the one disc.. understand now? i can see how its a bit confusing, sorry about that.

its not that the movie is new either. i said i tried dvd decryptor to make the two 8gb iso files above.

Are you saying that DVD Shrink gives an error when you try to open the disk image(iso) file or is the error coming after the image has loaded and you are attempting to shrink it down.
What does the error say?

it will not let me shrink the two iso files i have on my cpu. i dont remember the exact error. i can check later if necessary.

But the reason i converted them to iso files via dvd decryptor that were full iso files (8gb)instead of shrunk in the first place was because after i opened the disc and tried to back up the full disc it also didnt work.

There errors you get would be helpful.

Just a guess here but the files may be bad? Sounds like you may have had read errors or getting a failed to read file error.
Don't know - this is what the error messages will tell us.

2 things you might want to try - do a system defrag and a chkdisc (scan disc). Last one may take awhile and will do it on a reboot - let it run then when windows is done scanning and fixing bad sectors if necessary will reboot.

Another option to try would be extracting the iso to a video_ts folder w/ IsoBuster.
