Having a problem with backing up ps2 dvd games. I've noticed here recently that when I burn image back to DVD+R at SLOWEST speed that the leadin track around the hub is twice the size it used to be. Thus when I put in backup and try to boot get the red screen of death. The only way to get these to boot is to enable fast boot on my chip dms3, power on, eject the disc until half the hub is showing in the tray, then INSTANTLY hit reset and it'll close and boot.. I've compared these new backups to older ones and notice that the diameter of that leadin is like I said about twice the size as before. What's causing this? Using sony media which I've used before without problems. It's almost like there's being something else written at the leadin to KEEP ME FROM BOOTING. Anyone else have this problem?

I got it fixed now. Had to clean the laser then they booted right up but it's still wierd why that leadin is so big compared to what it used to be.

Burned a DVD backup movie tonight and it had a little probs at first with chip cloaked but second boot it loaded right up. It HAS the same bigger leadin track. I'm using sony media DVD+R and wonderin is that part of their new "Accucore" technology or something? Just lost on why the leadin's so big.. Using hp older DVD+R burner dvd300i with updated firmware with ALL the major progs alc, Nero, dv decrypter, clonecd, etc. Luckily I can only burn at 2.4x cause that's what it needs to be or less for good results I KNOW... Getting that same big leadin on all my backups, maybe media??? They WORK, confirmed that just wierd after looking at my old backups they all have about 1/2 the size of that darker leadin track around the hub.
