how do u put your vcd's on one dvd-r. So that way instead of having that 1 movie on two cd-r's, just throw the vcd disk 1 of 2 and 2 of 2 all together on one dvd-r. Thanks for any ones help that they can provide!!!!!!! ^_^

Biggest problem is that you need to re-encode the audio (which makes it sound worse) since DVDs support only 48kHz audio and VCD audio is in 44.1kHz. So, use TMPGEnc's MPEG Tools, select Demux and Demux your VCD-compatible clip into separate video and audio streams (.m1v and .mp2). Then use something like tooLame to re-encode the audio file to a new .mp2 file (note, mpTWO, not mpTHREE) with 224kbit/sec, BUT with 48kHz freq. Do this to all of your clips.

Then use some DVD authoring software -- quite bad, but working demo is avail for SpruceUp -- and simply import the original .m1v files and your re-encoded .mp2 files into the system. Then make some menus if you wish, create DVD structure with the authoring tool, test it (if possible) with PowerDVD XP 4 and then burn the thing to DVD-R. You can fit something like 450mins of VCD to one DVD-R.

Thx, just got TMPGEnc and spruceup, made the separate video and audio files, from the vcd'z and just got done reencoding the audio to 48khz,
but the sound still is ok, sounds identicly as it was on vcd at 44khz, and now inmporting it to Spruceup, and made a cool dvd play menu. Who would'nt want to have the new vids on dvd.
Plus vcd's dont play in all dvd's, but after re-eencoding the vcd to dvd, it now plays on my dvd player that never played the vcd version of it. ^_^
