i have a slim ps2 and i want to but a japanese game(initial D)... before go spending money i'm wondering if it will work. if not then do i need to upgrade my ps2? helpful input would be most appreciated.

If you have Swap Magic or a modchip, and a tv supporting NTSC system, i don´t see any problem.
