Make sure you have the right version downloaded. TMPGEnc DVD Author, Then simply click add DVD Video

and make sure it is fully standard cause TMPGEnc DVD Author is a right bitch if there is even a tiny difference!

how come ppl say TMPGEnc and TMPGEnc DvD author . is there 2 different programmes or is it in the same thing ? this is the thing that i know converts avi - mpg . but dont think it does vobs! / heres wat the one i know of. first u open programme and its project wizard 1/5 gotta select out of Video-CD . super video cd and DVD. aswell as the NTSC and PAL options for each . then u gotta browse for ur file and select a few options afterwards and then it starts encoding where u go through the film slowly while its encoding
There is another programme which has a pic of a cats head and opens with ...... which i dunno wat

Rotary, standard as in fully compliant for dvd, anything, even the incorrect frame size will give TMPGEnc DVD Autohor a reason to complain!

well what do i have to choose when encoding with TMPGEnc cause theres lots of options including one where i gotta choose from 1:1 to 1:64 Display , and how do i use the Author? please help =/
oh and what i chose took 14hrs to encode matrix from .avi to mpg. sound still works . but still pretty clueless =/

between 1:1 and 1:64, what??????????
dont u mean 16:9 maybe?? Basically that is your aspect ratio, if you got black borders it is more than like 16:9. As for author, author couldnt be easier, add the mpg file, build yourself a little menu if you like and build up the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders.
Then use Nero to burn them http://www.afterdawn.com/articles/archive/burning_dvd_with_nero.cfm
