Not a valid ps2 game

Hey there !

I hope to find some information here.

I have a playstation 2 slimline (type 70004) with flip-top cover that I've installed succesfully.
When it comes to copying games I have a quality dvd-burner, Alcohol 120% and exel-DVD-R.

I've copied Need For Speed Underground 2. No probs encountered.

When I load Swap Magic 3.6 DVD I get the message 'Load Program'. Now it's time to switch the DVD's.

And then it happens : from the moment I touch the Swap Magic DVD to take it out, I see that the lens of my PS2 begins to move and the message appears 'Not a valid ps2 disc'.

I've read some topics with the same subject but this is a different kind of problem I think !
It's impossible for me to change the discs because when I touch the Swap Magic DVD, immediately the message 'not a valid ps2 disc' appears.

Can someone help me ?
Have I placed the SwapMagicDVD wrongly at startup ? Why is everything hypersensitive ?

Do you have the Magic Keys installed? Or is the flip-top lid you mention a custom replacement softmod case, or the original fliptop case that all slimlines have?
You don't just need Swap Magic to boot a game, you also need a softmod way to swap discs without the PS2 knowing, you see? Such as replacement flip case, or Magic Keys.

But now I got it to work ! Seems like my flip-top-cover (I changed my original cover with the flip-top-cover to work with Swap Magic) wasn't fixed to well.

With some tape I got it to no longer be loose somewhere.

You all wacth out for this when you install the flip-top-cover. You might need to fix it a little more tighter !

To specify the games I've tried so far :
- Metal Gear Solid snake eater (no fix needed)
- NFSU 2 (no fix needed)
--> Not yet tried online...

yes same here..the bottom right corner pops up on my slimline (near the power button/reset). Ive used electrical tape to fasten it down.

Yeah, I know what you mean. They really need to fix that before selling those things. Make them with a harder less-flexible material or something.
