no it will not work lots of programs will not work because of driver problems with vista anti virius programs at the present time will not work because of drivers are not avalible

If you want to do DVDs stick with what OS you got now, because Vista is not going to be friendly to burning DVDs especially with existing software.

Good to know Garmoon. appreciate that info, because i am in the process of building a new computer and was not going to get it up and running until Vista came out. now i will just load XP in there and continue to burn just like always. Thanks a lot

Yeah just my 2 cents- I'd stay away from Vista for the time being. Just the bugs alone in the beginning - I can only imagine.

Heck they don't even want 3rd anti virus running on it - want you to use Microsoft's crap. They just have such a good track record :0)
They are finally giving limited access to Norton and maybe others.

The programs (dvd stuff) that list supporting Vista are Nero 7.5.7.0., ImgBurn & DVDFab. I'm sure there's some more.

Shrink, Decrypter - nope - esp since they're no longer updated. AnyDVD and CloneDVD also don't list Vista yet.

I have vista installed on a different computer and have the following programs installed and working.

A few that Binkie has given.. plus

Imgburn
DVD Shrink
DVD-RB + CCE
DVD Decrypter
AnyDVD
CloneDVD2


Nero's latest release 7.5.7.0 is supposed to be Vista compatible. But I have not installed it yet.

There are a few Anti-Virus that do work also. (avast!/McAfee/AVG)

Below is a list of programs that (Do work/some problems/do not work) with Vista. So do a little research so your better informed on what works and doesn't work with Vista.
