If this ain't too difficult, how do i back up Games into the hard drive so that i can play the games of the hard drive so that i wont need the disc. My brother has his and i wanna try it. I tried it with my PSP and it works. Please, tell me how to put games on my hard drive and play games from there without the disc.

yes i can help... if you could tell me what game that you want to put on your HDD I could be a little more specific.

anyways, assuming you have a moddified xbox
1) establish an FTP connection to the xbox
2) pop in the xbox game that you want to have copied into the disk drive of your xbox
3) then go into the e/ folder (im not positive about that, ill have to get back with you on that one when my roommate gets up ;)
4) you should then be looking at the files on the disk of the game that you want to copy
5) copy all of these files into a folder on your computer
6) then go into.... i believe it is the d/ folder, but again im not exactly sure
7) go into the games folder, and make a new folder that is named the title of your game
8) transfer all of the files that you have on your computer into the folder
9) if these files do not all fit: go here for info on how to delete some of the unnecessary files www.balugabutt.com
10) pop open the disk drive of your xbox, and take any games out, witch sould take you to the xbox's modded dash
11) say, if you have something like evoX, then you should go to "games on HD"
12) click on the name of the game that you put on your HDD, and start playing!

Post again if you need more help, or if everything was successful!

Chances are you will only be able to fit on one game, if that. Due to the Xbox table in E:\ only holding around 4gb.

im not so familiar with AVALAUNCH, but I do know my way around evoX,
use www.balugabutt.com to determine what files are not necessary:

these files:
Half - Life 2

saved: 750 MB

Language Files:

\GameMedia\zip0_xbox_french.xz_
\GameMedia\zip0_xbox_german.xz_
\GameMedia\zip0_xbox_italian.xz_
\GameMedia\zip0_xbox_spanish.xz_

Movie Replacements:

\LoaderMedia\Demo_Attract.xmv

(from www.balugabutt.com)

then establish an FTP connection and go into /d, and then /games.
make a folder called "half-life 2" and dump the rest of the files into that folder.
then get to your modded dash and click on "games on HD"
half-life should be there and then you should be able to play

sry, but I don't know much about X-ISO's, but ISO's are for making a dvd copy of the game, so I imagine that you could extract the files on the iso and then FTP them to your xbox

hope this helps

another really simple idea is to download a program called DVD2XBOX, which copies the games directly to your HDD, but Half-Life 2 might not fit

oh, well i didn't know the size.
well, in that case, just copy all the files into the half-life folder on your xbox

Pretty much any HDD from a PC will do the trick! Here's a list of ones that are already proven compatible...

SWEET !!! Now, that sounds good, no problem , I read the tutorial and it souonds sweeter than a walk in the park, yay , lol. And i actually get it now, So, ur not actually doing anything to the XBOX HDD but ur just taking a PC HDD with its memory and making it an XBOX HDD, and using it as an XBOX HDD, i get it. Lemme ask, is there a way i can just do something o the XBOX HDD without using another ? Like upgrading the space of the HDD on What u actually have now, i have an 8GB default HDD, is there a program(s)to allow me to just upgrade the space instead of changing the HDD ?

Are you serious?

That's like saying you have a 1964 VW Beetle and you want to know if you can buy a fuel that'll make run like a Porsche!?

Get my drift?

But, if you want to get technical... you can actually make your HD bigger as they come from the factory a certain size, then they are just formatted into different smaller sizes! Sadly in your 8Gb case, this probably will be no use to you! If you had the Seagate 10Gb...
