hello

I am very new to XBOX,My 9 year old son uses it.
actually I have 2 xbox, and xbox 1 has been moded,all of a sudden drive will not open smoothly,it shakes while it opens,and will not read any games,orginal or burnt,
I also have a backup(unmoded) XBOX,I am sure it is older,I put that on for my crying son,he played a game for little while and then the game got stuck,after rebooting it is showing flashing red/green light,only thing I may have done wrong was using the power supply for xbox1 for xbox2.I dont know which versions are these,but pretty sure xbox2 is older.can take out the rom drive from the older xbox to the new one?that is if the drive is the problem on XBOX 1,
can anyone help me please?

Yeah, since your pretty new to this sort of thig, I'd suggest that you just swap the drives around! That's pretty simple, here's how...

is it safe to open the xbox? in terms of power shocks.I read it on llamma.com,it looks very much like a pc,I have swapped drives many times in pc's before.If it is as simple as pc's then I will do it.

Yeah, it really is that easy! But as with all electronic components, you're "Advised" to earth yourself via a wriststrap ar similar! You don't need to though!

I've also read somewhere that you can discharge the system by pressing the power button after you have unplugged the power coble!? Can't hurt right!?
