Okay, here's the situation.

I just got an Action Replay Max Evo and my slimline PS2 was modded previously.

Now, I go into ARME let the thing update and so forth. After that, I go into Expert Mode, load up the codes I want to use. Now, when I want to jump into the game, the disc keeps spinning and won't let me take it out to start a game (because the modifications to the PS2 make the system think that its lid is always closed, which allows the disc to spin even when the drive is open). I did manage to stop the disc by pressing down on the disc brake a the top of the drive but that won't help when I try to put in the game I want to play (or something like Swap Magic).

Is there a workaround to this situation or do I just need a new, unomodified PS2? Sorry if you've seen a ton of threads like this but for some reason, all the ones I posted in never got any responses.

When u say modded?
Do you have you have the megic keys in your machine? Or do you have another way of holding down one of the sensors in your ps2?
Or is it a function of a modchip where no matter what, your ps2 will always think your console lid is closed?

First time i heard of ghost switch, but after checking up on google, your machine is stuck on thinking that the lid is closed unless you take out the ghost switch or something.

Magic keys are probly better, when you have to do a toc refresh, u just lift one of the senor keys, and it will release the switch making the ps2 know the disc lid has opened.

Hm...I figured re-modding my system might be a solution but I don't know if I've crossed that line or not (the Ghost Switches forced me to cut off small parts of the lid so it'd still close once I was done).
