Code error again!

At Insert SIM card, I typed that in. Is that the right place? The text shows #pw+227855040531600+1 then I press the last # and the code error appears.

Try the code above if your mobile is not already unlocked! (with the sim out)

How do I check if it is already unlocked? It is my GF phone.

etowah: Her SIM is for cingular. She said that she did not remove the SIM before the first code entry (ie. entered at normal main menu). Maybe the first code works and that was the problem?

I tried first code again myself, SIM removed, with code error again. Should I try the most recent code?

How many codes have you tried now?

***edit 2***
I suggest getting it unlocked directly with hardware.

1 code with SIM in (probably useless), 2 codes with SIM out. Not tried latest code posted by pazzini.

I used DCT4 calculator with IMEI 353783000955389, MCC+MNC 31017 (Pacific Bell cingular, USA), Type 2, calculate v2 codes
These codes came out:

#pw+217905040531600+1#
#pw+885031110342431+2#
#pw+335856267370355+3#
#pw+207515032507116+4#
#pw+097123227523523+5#
#pw+846011274462512+6#
#pw+887901212501503+7#

Should I try one or give up?

What is difference of v1,v2, and griffin codes?

If you want to try another code I suggest this one #pw+227385244536533+1# with the sim out. If your mobile hardlocks all you have to do is take it to a shop for direct unlocking, no damage will happen to your phone!

I see that it's possible for the phone maybe is unlocked to begin with:
http://www.gammu.org/wiki/index.php?titl...ia_keypad_codes

#pw+MasterCode+Y# Code for disabling simlock level Y. If MasterCode is correct, you will see "SIM protection turn off". If code was wrong or counter is locked (too many tries of using with incorrect code) or there is no simlock you will see "Code error". In some models, when phone is not simlocked, you can see "SIM was not restricted".

Anyone know if this is DCT3 or DCT4? Unlockme claims DCT3, Wikipedia claims DCT4.

Is there a cheap flasher that will work? The cheap DCT4 flasher seems to not support 3120, or at least it is not in the list.
