You know, my Xbox is doing the same thing right now. I just opened it up one day cause a friend wanted to see if he wanted the Xecuter Chip or not, and When I put it back together, it turns on, then back off 3 or 4 times. I don't know what's going on. I hope someone can answer why this is happening. I thought it was just a wiring problem, but I'm probably wrong.

I've Tried pushing both the Power and Eject button at the same time, and I can't get to the BIOS screen to re-flash it. Do the DIP switches have to be a certain way?

Alright when I get home I'll try it out. Also the yellow wire that goes from one part of the chip to the power buttons (it is located right under the front of the HDD, and DVD Drive) one of them is pinched. Could this be an issue to it not working?

I just realized that one of the pins from the Solderless adapter wasn't in place. Also one end of the adapter sticks up a little, so maybe if I can make it sit snug, it may start working.

You don't need a programmer to re-flash your Xbox. Just press both the power and eject button so that a pink/purple color turns on, on the DIP switch. That should take you to the BIOS screen, and then you can re-flash by inserting a disc, or by FTPing.

I think for the DIP switches you have to have them all off, or on, I'm not sure, but I know that they all have to be on or off. Then press the power and eject button and see if that works. The chip should be on for this to work.

Bomb12guy, do you have the Xecuter 3 CE? Because what I figured out is that your chip is probably not on right, or that the pins are not all connected correctly. Make sure that all of your connections are right, and then try turning on your Xbox. I've taken apart my system 5-6 times and finally fixed the problem. It just takes some time.

I'm pretty sure that just because you installed the wrong BIOS it wouldn't be the problem. I would just make sure if you have everything installed correctly. Also there is a file or something called Slayers. I don't have a whole lot of knowledge of it, but I heard that if you get that, and install it, it will fix any problem that is wrong. But I'm not sure what it does. Check this site for something on Slayers. You will probably find something. And in my opinion, I don't think that you need a programmer to fix the problem.

Okay, I understand that you installed the wrong BIOS. That has nothing to do with your system turning on and off. You will seriously have to open your xbox, and check all wiring. Not just for the chip, but for everything. The HDD, DVD-Rom, Power Supply, etc. There is also a switch on the chip that you can turn on so that it helps with the Flashing of your system. Turn that switch on and see what happens.
