Hello.

I've been going through this forum, thru other websites, and I managed to get some stuff playing off of a usb harddrive.
I do have an internal hd, but haven't been able to get anything working on it.

this is what i have
ps2 v7
40 gig sony hd
AR max duo evo with usb stick (v1.14)
Gameshark 2
Coderbreaker v9

I have no problem running elfs off the usbstick (maxdrive), but when I run the various hdloader, hdl elf's i've downloaded, all i get are black screens.

Since most the exploit methods require a mc, and i don't have an mc, i'm wondering if that's my problem? I thought it was okay because i was able to run elfs anyways, but it's not working.

I will be getting a mc sometime soon, anyways, but would like to know if maybe I'm missing something else I will need to get. Theres a $20 mod chip for the V7 and lower that i will probably get.

it's just bothering me that i can get stuff booting off a usb harddrive easily, yet the internal hd is sitting there empty.

I dont know what the problem could be as Ive never used AR max duo evo with usb stick (v1.14) before.
But im am sure a memory card wont change a thing.
The exploit onto a memory card etc is something else, and shouldnt effect how an elf file runs.
