This site has a chip you can solder to your dvd drive and it bypasses the parts of the firmware microsoft put in to put the drive in recovery mode.. or brick mode. I just bought the chip, and I am going to install as soon as i get it. I will let everyone know how it turns out. If it works I will definitly reccomend it, but as for now I truley think it will work and i reccoment it to anyone that wants to unbrick their drive for less than 60$. take a look.. Its a great thing..

IMO the site is very credible. There is a forum on it as well and there are many people who have reported it worked for them. My drive was bricked while trying to get into mode b and using the cross wire method. I will definitly report back how everything goes, but hey.. whats the worst that can happen.. I lose 50$.. The drive is already no good anyway.. albeit the 360 is garbage if i dont try this.. so what the hell ill give it a go..

Yeah that's some forum there! Most of the posts are by Chilliflash in the 9 threads going in the Product support forum. Hopefully, it all works out great for you, but it looks a little fishy to me.

Yea, I agree.. there are only a few people on those threads, but the ones that are there are saying that it worked for them and there is also a thread which links to another well known trustworthy site that has people saying it works. Anyway, it is something I have decided to try and do, so if it works I will be sure to let everyone here at afterdawn know, so you can all fix your bricks and save
350$ I have my shipping info and it should be here in a couple of day.. hopefully by tomorrow.. I will keep you updated when I receive it and what happens as I go along.
