I had a modder do the Xtreme firmware update on my 360 about a month and a bit ago. I emailed him the other day asking what version he put on, and he said he used xtreme firmware 1.3
Isn't that really old? I mean, it plays games fine. I haven't had a single problem, but will this older version not be able to play some newer games that're set to come out? What's the advantage of my trying to update my firmware to the newest, and what is the newest?
I have old firmware on mine too. Hitachis could stand to be updated since new retail EA games won't work as evident by Tiger Woods 07. I don't feel a need a update my Samsung until I see reports of new firmware being more effective.
New retail EA games? What if they're copied first?
I asked the guy who modded it, and he said he used that old version on mine because him and his partner (a computer programmer) had modified it to suit their needs.
So far, I haven't had any copied games not work on me; but then, I've only tried Splinter Cell and Enchanted Arms, so who knows.
I could update, but I'd have to do it myself, and I'm not all that sure if I could do it without stuffing eveything up. I've read a lot of the guides and what not. Is it all pretty easy?
Yeah, that is a bit weird, but doesn't bother me though. I hate tiger woods, and I wouldn't get it retail.
Whats the chances that with the new games coming out, like Smackdown Vs Raw and Gears Of War, that my firmware won't be good enough to play them? You think there's any chance of something like that, or will all firmware play all games?
