well i heard about gran turismo today and found some disturbing news

good news great graphics awesome car design and perfect online play finally

bad news: everytime you unlock a new track you have to pay 5.00 for that track to keep it unlocked on your console

even worse: unlockable cars will cost you 1.00 each car you unlock

wow i knew sony was desperate for money but this is a new low even for sony well this is one title im staying away from for the ps3 i dont have 175.00 to unlock everything

I thought you could unlock them normally, or pay for them if you dont want to earn them. either way, content within a game should not cost money after you already pay for the game and I sure hope other developers dont follow the example.

X2 3800, A8n deluxe motherboard, 7800GT, Xion 2 case
2GB Patriot DDR 400, Audigy 2 ZS gamer, 400GB SATA RAID 0
games Im looking forward to: bioshock, SSBB, enemy territory quake wars, halo 3
currently playing: command and conquer 3, supreme commander, counter strike, shivering isles

i heard it was all pay and thats it, and there will be two versions of the game. one with some tracks and cars, and one with nothing at all. i asked about this before and nobody ever game me confermation..

But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

well before people go on their ranting sprees, i suggest you google and read up on the consumer reaction towards EA, and how they are utilizing Live Marketplace. this is something that has been going on for awhile now and it doesn't look like it is ending anytime soon. the latest i read, and i don't own a 360 or xbox so don't go crazy on me, but some were saying the content that comes STANDARD (unlockable) on the pc/xbox game, is extra charge for the same title on the 360.

here are some links, some are poorly written though

While $2.00 is relatively cheap, a tutorial is a feature of the game that should be included when you buy it, especially at $60.

that is how i feel and what i would be worried about ^^^^

I read the same thing on OPM, but that was included for both consoles, for instance madden you would have to buy rosters, new uniform or custom unis, which ea is just trying to make someprofit out of both systems. My opinion this bogis and a bunch of crap. I think there will be a way around this or both systems will lose money by ppl not going online. We should just start a riot or have a strike for a week all over the worldby not going online which will be hard to do but it will send the message that will not pay for what was giving for free in previous consoles.

You can buy cars et.c for NFS Carbon on the 360, HOWEVER you can still play through the game and unlock everything which isn't so bad (just pretend the content's not there and there will be no change). I hope GT:HD uses a similar concept, otherwise they can go screw themselves. For the £200 of content for the game I could buy a car lol.

There are 10 kinds of people in the world, those who know binary, and those who don't
