How to get kawax to recognise neogeo roms

i recently installed kawax along with many roms on my modded xbox, however the only neogeo game being recognised is metal slug 2.
king of fighters 94,95,96,97 + aero fighters 2,3 dont even show up on the kawax menu. i do have the neogeo.zip file in the roms folder.

so where am i going wrong
