I havent used Shrink in a while. Is there an option to burn 2 copies of the movie? I would assume you have DVD Shrink set up to autoburn with Nero.

You could also have DVDShrink output an ISO file and use Nero and burn the Image twice.

No unfortately Shrink doesn't have that option - but Nero itself does.

@born2ride
You can let Shrink do it's thing and burn 1 w/ Nero. Then take the video_ts folder it automatically saved to your hard drive and use Express. Use the DVD_Video files option and add the video_ts folder to burn.

On the Fly,if you have dual dvd drives.

Make sure your first backup copy:

1) Quality media- taiyo yuden,verbatim,japanese maxell-fuji-sony
2) Proper burn speed- burn at a speed that gives you fewest PIE/PIF errors using nero's disc quality scanning program. 4x-8x
3)Backup target of 4360 mbs-keep the burn from reaching outer edge.
4) No multi-tasking
5) No paper/sticker labels
6) Quality drives-very critical

On the fly is extreme. If you have a lot of those little errors on your first backup copy, you'll probably get a coaster when trying to rip and copy it on the fly. Also some inferior drives out there that will load your backups with a slew of errors.

When I do another copy,I just locate the files and back them up again using DVD Shrink and Nero to autoburn. Only takes me 3-5 mins longer, but I can only get 4x max when I do OTF.Nero won't allow me to burn faster than 4x OTF.

I burn 8x when using DVD Shrink,so the time difference isn't that much.

You could also do dvd decrypter's ISO read and write mode. Takes 5 mins max to get that first copy to rip onto your harddrive, but after that-no more encoding for however many copies you want.

i rarely do ISO stuff myself, no real reason..just very rarely found the need to use ISO mode.

all i ever do is simple copy/paste of the video_ts folder, using windows explorer, then brn with Nero as normal. if the source disc was to have problems copying i'd use DVD Decrypter, but as i no longer use crap or questionable media (and take great care of my backups) windows explorer is all it takes..

If I want 2 copies I just create the ISO file with Shrink(not set to burn with any program). Then when Shrink is finished I open the file in Nero Burning Rom and click use multiple burners and 9 minutes later I have 2 copies and am finished. Of course you need two burners. I've done 3 at a a time.
