TMPGEnc Plus help! Thanks

I'm trying to convert an AVI movie, encoded by divx, with TMPGEnc Plus. I click cancel on the wizard, and load up the avi file, and the file shows up in both Video & Audio Source.

Output correctly shows the file as an mpg:
C:\Documents and Settings\Dan Gessler\Desktop\Dumb and Dumber (DVDrip).mpg

And everything seems to be working smoothly, until after the 2 1/2 hour wait. I open the newly created mpg file, picture seems fine but absolutely no audio. Also, it's adding a whole bunch of time at the end of the file with a blank screen. 360 minutes I beleive, the movie should be no more than 120 minutes or so.

If someone could give me some pointers that would be awesome.

I am at the learning stage aswell but i have been told to once you have selected the video source goto file menu and select the output to file and click on wav and again select your your mpeg and select your output name file for that wav and start it. This should stream out teh audio files into one and create a new wav file, once that is down select that wav file as your audio source and then of you go.

decompress the audio first, open the AVI in VirtualDub,

1. click video - direct stream copy
2. click audio - full processing mode
3. click audio - compression, select no compression pcm and click ok.
4. click file - save as AVI, now try the AVI saved with TMPGEnc Plus!

Has any1 got a link for TMPGEnc Plus to download? I can only find the TMPGEnc standard

Thats because you have to buy the plus version mate!

The Plus version can be used for upto 15 days as far as I remember, and it does have a free download from here: http://www.pegasys-inc.com

Ah 2 download locations eh? aint life great! I highly recommend ppl purchase this software because basically it rules!
