I have a modded slim PS2 (a Matrix Infinity if memory serves me right?). I got a copy of a SLES (I understand that's the European version of the game, yes?) version of Splinter Cell: Double Agent, and since I live in Argentina and my TV supports PAL + NTSC, the game was in color but the image was not centered on my screen. I applied pal2ntsc y-fix, and it did the trick, BUT! It only affects the Solo-Coop/Multiplayer selection bit of the game itself.
My thought is that once you select, the game executes ANOTHER .elf file to run either Solo or Multi, and since the pal2ntsc y-fix only affects the MAIN .elf it doesn't affect the rest.
My question is, how would one go about to patching ALL of the .elf files with the y-fix option? I read the thread but I ran into a problem when trying to extract with ISObuster (it showed 1 Track, 1 Session and inside the Track it showed TWO Filesystems (ISO and UDF) and I didn't know which ones to extract to follow the other steps). Could anyone help out on this issue? Either with a way to patch multiple .elfs with the y-fix thing within an ISO or with more detailed help as to which file system to extract with ISO buster to patch the individual .elf files with pal2ntsc y-fix myself and then rebuilding the DVD master? Also more help with that step would be appreciated, I found the tutorial to be very cryptic.
Thanks everyone, I know that i'm not the only one with this darned issue!!!
Please someone help? I finally understood all the steps following the "easy guide" thing and I first made an ISO with DVD Decrypter, then ISObusted the ISO data out from it to a folder, then I used CD/DVD Gen 1.5 to add each file IN THE SAME ORDER as they appeared on the ISObuster window (triple checked), I added the correct Volume Information, exported the ILM, then I did the ILM2ISO thing, I got a disc with about the same size as before (2.7GBs I think) but of course before actualling going from the EXTRACTED folder to CDDVDGEN I patched the .elf files, but that shouldn't alter anything at all right?
But the problem comes when I want to burn.
I put a 16x Verbatim DVD-R into my Lite-On 16x burner, open DVD Decrypter, load the new ISO file, try to burn, and it throws me an error that does't let me burn. It's a HUGE complicated with tons of numbers error with nothing helpful in it: but for some reason, on the Disc Info thing after that error happens and I'm pushed back to the main DVD Decrypter window, the disc's size says that it's EXACTLY the ISO's size, MINUS 1Mb. What the heck?? I also tried burning in Nero and it tells me "to please insert the adecuate media".
I don't understand what I'm doing wrong, I followed the instructions to the letter. Can anyone help please?
